Upgrade your display to Full HD with one of these graphics cards!
Full HD was the best in the early 2010s. TVs, laptops, and monitors were all abandoning the 720p concept, in favor of 1080p. It’s hard to tell how fast the technology is developing since we’re now seeing graphics cards that can display images with four times more pixels (2160p or 4K). However, 1080p is very popular these days because it is easy to use on PC hardware, allowing those who only play esports and watch higher prices than the visual fidelity to enjoy a better experience. Here are the best 1080p GPUs for gaming.

Choosing the best graphics card for 1080p gaming
The Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060 Ti is still the best 1080p graphics card available. It’s since been replaced by the more expensive RTX 4060 Ti, but we’d still go with the older generation GPU if you could get it for a reasonable price. We’ll also choose this GPU for 1440p gaming, allowing you to upgrade your graphics from Full HD sometime down the road without shelling out for a new GPU. It is one of the best GPUs for competitive online games or single player stories.
If you want something a little bit new from Nvidia, we’d go for the RTX 4060. It’s priced at $300 and offers good performance for the price, especially at 1080p and with DLSS optimized. Then there’s the impressive AMD Radeon RX 7600, which is part of its RDNA 3 family of GPUs. Being a new generation graphics card, the RX 7600 has a few tricks up its sleeve on the RTX 3060 Ti, although when it comes to ray tracing, nothing beats Nvidia’s DLSS and RT cores. No matter which GPU you choose from our selection, you’ll enjoy smooth 1080p gaming.
