Choosing the best graphics card for 1440p
We’ve rounded up some of the best-selling graphics cards from AMD, Intel, and Nvidia here. The Nvidia GeForce RTX 4070 is our go-to for 1440p gaming. It offers the best price within the RTX 40 series without spending less on its RTX 4090 model. Then there is the powerful AMD Radeon RX 7800 XT, which was launched as a direct competitor to the RTX 4070 from Nvidia. It beats the Team Green GPU in most games, but with ray tracing turned on, it’s no match for Nvidia’s excellent DLSS and ray tracing.
Intel shouldn’t be completely written off as the Arc A770 is a decent GPU for the price and will happily get away with a 1440p monitor attached. For 1080p and 1440p resolution, we wouldn’t rule out previous generation GPUs like the Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060 Ti and AMD Radeon RX 6800 XT. Both of these cards are great even by today’s standards, as long as you can get stock at good prices. We’ve tested hundreds of GPUs here at XDA-Developers and these are our favorites to enjoy gaming at 1440p.
