If ever there was a gaming mouse that transcended all others it would be Razer’s DeathAdder. It’s one of the most iconic, best-selling mice of all time, and also one of the most comfortable. The latest version, the DeathAdder V3 Pro, is the biggest update to this legendary product in many years, and it still retains everything that made it so special to begin with.

The shape is mostly still the same, and it’s still supremely ergonomic and comfortable to use. Alas, it’s still a right-handed only design. But as with recent other gaming mice, Razer has been using the expertise of professional gamers to help make it better. As such, the DeathAdder V3 Pro is 25% lighter than its predecessor without the need to cut holes all over the mouse. It also gets Razer’s latest and greatest tech, including support for its 4000Hz HyperPolling wireless dongle, the latest 30,000 DPI optical sensor, and Gen 3 optical switches.

Razer’s magic comes not just from the hardware, though. Through its Synapse application, you’re able to calibrate the mouse to the type of surface you’re using it on, as well as the lift-off and landing distances. It’s now also more power-efficient than ever, promising up to 90 hours of life when used wirelessly. Or you can plug it in using Razer’s excellent Speedflex cable, which is so light that it doesn’t even feel like it’s there. DPI stages and a custom profile can also be stored on the mouse, so you can move between machines without needing to use Synapse on them both. As long as the DeathAdder exists, it’s going to be the gaming mouse to beat.

$134 at Amazon $140 at Newegg

Logitech’s G502 X Plus is one incredible wireless gaming mouse. The specification sheet is full of premium entries, including the excellent HERO optical sensor with a maximum supported DPI setting of 25,000. It’s capable of hitting up to 400 IPS and handling 40G of acceleration, making it ideal for flinging across a large mousepad with quick reflex gameplay. If you’re seeking one of the best wireless gaming pointers, look no further than this puppy.

It’s not lightweight by any stretch of the imagination, but this hefty weight makes the mouse feel all the more comfortable to use as a daily driver. And with a battery life of up to 130 hours (that’s measured with the RGB lighting disabled), you won’t be tied to the PC case for long. Gamers enjoy using Logitech mice because of the Lightspeed technology, and it’s no joke. This wireless technology is super reliable and lightning fast, hence the name.

Just like other Logitech gaming mice, the G502 X Plus can be configured using the brand’s software package to set profiles, manage programmable buttons, RGB lighting effects, and much more. It’s a close second when compared to the Razer DeathAdder V3 Pro and can be considered a contender for the best wireless gaming mouse crown.

  • Great sensor
  • Amazing value
  • Good selection of colors

  • Not the lightest mouse

$30 at Amazon $40 at Newegg

If you’re looking for a top-quality budget gaming mouse, then it can’t get better than the Logitech G203 Lightsync. The Lightsync name indicates this mouse’s compatibility with the Logitech G app and RGB lighting system. This means you can use the supported software to sync the lighting of the mouse with other Logitech peripherals. For a budget gaming mouse, it’s actually fairly heavy on the RGB, with customizable zones you can tweak to your heart’s desire. The Logitech G203 Lightsync has six programmable buttons in total and a DPI range of 200-8,000.

The sensor used in this mouse is tried and tested and is suitable for consistent performance across a variety of games. The G203 is smaller than many gaming mice, so it’s more suitable for people with small hands. All in all, we think the Logitech G203 Lightsync sits comfortably in the category of budget-conscious gaming mice. There’s no shortage of affordable gaming mice out there, but we think the G203 Lightsync is better than others in more ways than one. It has a no-nonsense design, good RGB support, a reliable sensor, and a comfortable form factor. There are only a handful of gaming mice out there that offer those features, especially for this price.

Logitech G305 Lightspeed Best budget wireless

You’ll find it difficult to beat this value

  • Reliable wireless
  • Good performance
  • Decent battery life

  • AA battery
  • Can feel a little too small

$40 at Amazon $40 at Newegg $50 at Best Buy

The Logitech G305 Lightspeed is an easy recommendation when it comes to the best wireless gaming mouse on a budget. It’s a fairly simple-looking mouse that’s available in a bunch of different, beautiful colors. It has an ambidextrous design, too, which is less common than it should be. Its small size makes it comfortable for both palm and claw grippers. Weighing in at 99g, it’s not the lightest mouse out there, but it effortlessly glides and moves around on different surfaces, making it a solid option for FPS gamers. You will also appreciate the PTFE feet that come out of the box.

One thing that’s worth pointing out about the Logitech G305 Lightspeed is that it uses a single AA battery. Depending on your outlook that’s either great or a mild frustration. The battery life is pretty good though, with up to 250 hours of use from a single battery. The battery is what’s partially responsible for some added weight. But it’s not really a dealbreaker when you consider the performance you get for such a low price.

But if you’re willing to look past that then you’ve got yourself a fantastic gaming mouse with a reliable and powerful sensor. It offers a max DPI of 12,000, which makes it better than a lot of gaming mice on the market. You can use the Logitech G Hub software to configure and save up to five profiles, thanks to the onboard storage. The Logitech G305 Lightspeed comes with six fully programmable buttons. In addition to the left and right-click buttons, you get two additional buttons on the side along with a clickable scroll wheel and a DPI button. It’s a lot of function and performance for not a lot of money.

Glorious Model O Gaming Mouse Best lightweight

Lift off to the next level with this accurate pointer

The Glorious Model O- is our pick for the best lightweight FPS gaming mouse you can buy in 2022. It only weighs 58g and offers plenty of great features including a reliable sensor, G-skates mouse feet, and more.

  • Excellent performance
  • Lightweight
  • Perforated design

  • Limited number of buttons

$35 at Amazon

If you’re in the market to buy a good quality lightweight FPS gaming mouse, then we think the Glorious Model O- should definitely be on top of the list. The Glorious Model O- is essentially a smaller version of the Model O. This gaming mouse weighs only 58g, making it one of the lightest options out there. The mouse has a honeycomb shell which is key to achieving a feather-light weight. It’s not going to magically turn you into a human aimbot, but it’ll definitely allow you to explore lower DPI levels and work on your form.

One of the best things about this particular mouse is that it comes with G-skates feet. This eliminates the need to buy third-party skates for your mouse for smooth tracking. That, in addition to a reliable sensor, makes it a great option for FPS gaming. The Glorious Model O- uses a Pixart 3360 sensor and has a 1000Hz polling rate and lift-off distance of less than 0.7mm, which is among the best in the industry.

The Model O gaming mouse comes with a total of six buttons and uses Omron switches that are rated for over 20 million clicks. The mouse also has plenty of RGB lights on the body, which you can easily control via companion software. You can also use the same software to create custom profiles with different DPI settings to be changed on the fly. There’s also a dedicated DPI indicator at the bottom of the mouse that makes it easier for you to identify the right setting without having to open the software each time to change the setting. A mouse full of holes might seem strange, but try this one, you’ll love it.

Razer Naga V2 Pro Best MOBA/MMO

Customize your gaming mouse with swappable grips!

The Razer Naga V2 Pro is designed for those who frequently switch between game genres and don’t want to have more than one pointer. The side grip can be swapped out for different configurations. One designed for MMOs, another for MOBAs, making this one versatile mouse.

  • Swappable grips
  • Supports MOBAs and MMOs

  • Expensive

The Razer Naga Trinity ruled the MMO/MOBA space for many years until it was recently dethroned by its successor, the Naga Pro. The new Razer Naga V2 Pro uses the Naga Trinity as a foundation and upgrades it by adding a few useful features. Like other modern gaming mice, the 100% PTFE feet allow it to glide smoothly across different surfaces. The Razer Naga V2 Pro also uses Razer’s optical-mechanical switches instead of regular mechanical switches. Depending on the type of games you play, you can switch between three swappable plates to have either 2, 6, or 12 buttons on the side.

The Naga V2 Pro also uses Razer’s Focus Pro optical sensor with a max DPI of 30,000. This wireless mouse uses Razer’s HyperSpeed Wireless for reliable connection and lag-free tracking, making it a solid option for a variety of games. Razer says the mouse is good for 300 hours of usage on a single charge (Bluetooth), which is pretty good. You can also just plug in the mouse and continue using it if you ever run out of juice too. Razer also sells a sophisticated Mouse Dock for charging, but it’s disappointing you don’t get in the box with a premium mouse like this one. But if you’re an MMO player, this is the mouse you need.

Choosing the best gaming mouse to buy

We still believe the Razer DeathAdder V3 Pro to be one of the greatest gaming mice created. I personally use it on my main PC, and it’s exceptional in just about any PC game, aside from MOBAs and MMOs where more buttons are required. The Razer Focus Pro sensor is among the best in the business, and so too are its optical switches for the main clickers. It’s a little pricey, especially when you can buy capable mice for less than $70, but it’s well worth the asking price.
