Google Chrome’s newest feature makes it easier to copy frames from a video

Google Chrome is making it easy to capture frames from videos you might be watching in the browser

Essentials

  • Google Chrome now allows users to capture frames from videos easily by right-clicking and selecting “Copy video clip,” simplifying the process of retrieving important information.
  • This feature has been shown to be a useful tool for college students returning to school.
  • Chrome also offers additional features such as tab groups and group profiles, making it a useful tool for education and productivity.

The next time you open the Google Chrome browser and want to record a video, there is an easy way to do it. Google now offers a new way to copy a frame from a video in the Chrome browser, helping to simplify the way to get important information from a recorded video, whether on YouTube, or anything else.

Moving on to the latest version of Chrome, all you need to do to enjoy this feature is simple. Stop the video from playing anywhere in Chrome, then right-click on it. You will see a new way to create Paste video frame. This will take the highest quality image of the video, minus anything like the video title, or the play and pause button. We’re not seeing this feature on our end of Chrome version 116.0.5845.141 on Windows 11, but Google has highlighted how it could be a great feature for college students heading back to school soon.

This is one of the many things that can be useful in education. Chrome has tab groups to help you create similar groups, which you can access by right-clicking on a tab and selecting Add to New Group. There is also a way to create group profiles, formerly known as Journeys. With its interface, you can write what was related to your previous browsing experience or look at an address, and select Resume Journey to return to the previous page or tab that you may have closed. It will open in the sidebar.

Chrome isn’t the only browser that’s been a hit this week. As we said before, the popular Chrome browser, Vivaldi browser, has grown rapidly with its version 6.2 update, helping to increase the speed of opening the window.
