How to join the Vanguard
After opening and landing in New Atlantis, you can take a detour and head straight to Vanguard to join if you wish.
Step 1: Take public transportation to the MAST area.
Step 2: Go up the ramp and immediately turn around to see the MAST building.

Step 3: Go inside and talk to Tuala for a chance to join the Vanguard.
Step 4: Accept and complete your first hired mission and officially join the faction.
Joining the Vanguard will give you new missions, a decent way to earn points, and most importantly, the chance to become a citizen of the United Colonies. Only citizens can buy homes in New Atlantis, so if you want a place to call your own, you’ll have to become a citizen.
